Washington DC
The capital of the United States of America is Washington D.C. The city is situated on the Potomac River, and is the only federal capital in the US. DC was originally founded as a trading post in 1730. It was named after George Washington, the first president of the United States. The city is home to the Smithsonian Institution, as well as the White House, the home of the president. The city is home to many monuments, museums and the Pentagon. DC is surrounded by Arlington County, the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Los Angeles
You can spend a lot of time in the United States on a tourist visa, and the easiest way to do this is to visit Los Angeles. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services website explains that to qualify for a B visa, a tourist must spend a minimum of 6 months in the United States. A B visa allows you to enter the United States for business purposes for as long as your visa is valid. You can also stay in the United States as a tourist for up to six months at a time, if your visa is valid. If you do not have a B visa or if your B visa has expired, you must leave the United States within 30 days. Note that you are not allowed to change your immigration status to permanent resident. Los Angeles is a great place to stay for a few weeks, but if you would like to stay a while you should stay in San Francisco. San Francisco is a beautiful city and has the same weather as Los Angeles. It is also the home to the Silicon Valley, which makes it the most important tech hub in the United States.

San Francisco
