Indian government will lift its ban on US citizens
The ban on American citizens entering India was due to increased terrorist activity in the country. In March of 2019, the Indian government ended the ban. But now, the decision has been revoked. The decision was made by the cabinet after President Trump tweeted that the ban would be lifted. The government of India made a statement saying that they are withdrawing their previous position. President Trump called Prime Minister Modi on Friday to tell him the ban would be lifted, but the Prime Minister said there was “no need to inform me about it.”

India to lift the ban on American citizens in its country
India and the United States on Tuesday eased a travel ban on Americans, allowing them to enter the country for leisure or business reasons, the first such move by a country in the region after the Trump administration tightened restrictions on several nations. A single entry visa will be required for travellers from India under the relaxation. The US embassy in New Delhi said from April 25 the entry of Indians would not require a visa as long as travellers don’t enter through airports or seaports in New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad or Kolkata. “Indian nationals who are visiting the United States will continue to be allowed to enter on a visa-on-arrival basis,” the embassy said.
When will the travel ban end?
The Trump administration placed travel restrictions on citizens of certain countries, including people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and North Korea. Many of these restrictions took place on January 27, 2017. However, the ban on travelers from Syria will be lifted on March 5, 2017. While people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and North Korea will be able to travel to the US with a visa, those from Venezuela will have to apply for a special waiver. The ban also applies to people who are in the US and have been given a final order of removal by an immigration judge, or a final order of removal by the Board of Immigration Appeals.
