Visa Filing Process
The main visa requirement for those visiting the United States is the visa waiver program, which is managed by the Department of State. The visa waiver program allows citizens of 38 countries to visit the United States without obtaining a visa. Citizens of these countries don’t need to fill out any applications or pay any fees to visit the United States, and are able to stay for 90 days. Citizens of other countries can obtain a visa on arrival. Those visiting from this country can apply for the visa waiver program online, in person, or by mail. They must fill out an online application and pay a fee. Each application is assigned a number, which is used to track it and determine the length of stay. The fee is the same as the visa processing fee for those visiting from this country. The visa waiver program is available for citizens of 38 countries, including many of the European countries. Citizens of countries which are part of the Visa Waiver Program must enter through one of the five U.S. airports that offer the visa waiver program.

Traveling from India to the United States is a fairly straightforward process. The main thing to remember is that you must apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) or Form I-94W. These can be obtained online or at the airport. The requirement for an ESTA is that you must be visiting for a temporary period of time. If you are traveling for work, or just visiting on vacation, you will need to apply for an ESTA.
